Smithville Food Pantry in smithville, TX

 Volunteers are always welcome on Wednesday morning serving those who request  food and on Monday or Friday mornings helping unload the truck containing retail food donations . Please call or email in advance to confirm a day and time.

Thanks to a grant from Bluebonnet Electric Co-op along with individual donations,  we completed  construction on Phase 1 of our new and larger food pantry building.    Please, note all our staff are volunteers and we operate 100% on donations and grants.


To serve as a source of supplemental nutrition for elderly, disabled, or low income families in the Smithville area. We are a 501C3 non profit organization.


DONATIONS OF canned fruits or canned soups are appreciated. We can also use your plastic grocery bags and reusable canvas grocery bags.  These can be brought to our building at 301 Lee street on Wed. mornings. We also accept  monetary DONATIONS at  P.O. Box 433, Smithville,TX 78957.


If you or someone you know is 60 + and has a gross income less than $1307/month, you might qualify for  the "Commodity Supplemental Food Program" which provides a box of non-perishable food items once a month.  This is in addition to our weekly Food Pantry distribution to Smithville residents.  We can help you register for this program.  Bring proof of income, picture ID with current address, and information regarding household members to the Food Pantry 1st Wednesday of each month 9-11. Commodity food boxes are distributed the 4th Wednesday of each month 9-10:30 am.
